The GSi ECHO B2 is a digital emulation of a specific unit of the Binson Echorec model T5E. This unit, which is over 50 years old, still retains its original tubes and has received minimal servicing in the last three decades. While its original sound from when it was new remains unknown, this plugin captures how it sounds as of 2022.

This plugin includes all the original unit's controls, along with four additional knobs for adjusting the alignment of each head (referred to as Azimuth on tape machines). It also offers a knob to slow down the drum motor by up to half the standard speed for extended delay times and another knob to adjust the audible circuit hiss level.

All parameters are MIDI controllable, with the flexibility to assign MIDI CC numbers as needed. It is compatible with major AUv3 hosts such as Camelot, AUM, and GarageBand, and can also function as a standalone tool when connected to an external audio interface.
